Will AI Take Over the World? A Rational Analysis of the Future of AI

Robot

Introduction

Humanity has evolved and evolved its Technology. Till now in 21ˢᵗ century we have come across some deep-learning models

  • Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)

  • Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs)

  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)

  • Autoencoders

  • Transformers

Body

As per the question raised, I will explain why I think it's impossible for a Robot or specifically speaking AI to take over the world.

Mainly A Robot like "Sophia" or a robot just made to behave like a human and have the intelligence of maybe a perfect human. These kinds of Robots use both Supervised and Unsupervised Learning. They use tons of algorithms to solve a problem. They also use Neural Networks to show Expressions, perform decision-making ability and extract meaningful information from their sensors(For eg - ToF sensors).

One of the hectic and most time taking processes used to make a Robot useful is by providing it with the right training data. If we use too many kinds of the same data, we may get an over-rigid learning graph.

For Eg - Let's talk about a Robot whose task is to detect whether a car is passing by or not and if it is passing then it sends the License-Plate Number of the car to a particular server.

The main problem will be to make it detect whether the visuals the robot's camera is getting are a car or not. We can't train it only with raw codes. We have to use training data which is pictures of Cars at different angles and different colours.

Now the Problems that can arise:-

  1. The camera will not detect cars

[POSSIBLE REASON<1> - It was not provided with enough training data i.e Under-rigid]

[POSSIBLE REASON<2> - It was over-rigid i.e it was provided with enough data but the majority of the data looked the same]

This is the main problem it can face apart from the Source Code.

Main Reasons:-

1)All Robots are made by Humans and almost every robot uses a certain type of training data and Algorithm. To be honest, as per me Algorithm is a Kind of a Robot's Integral Part so without it, Robots are just a piece of junk.

2)All Robots have flaws, there is no robot that doesn't have one so it will not be a big problem to shut them down at any moment and many people also have the skills to hijack or simply get access to the core data of a robot.

3)I mentioned "Perfect Human" in the Body section of this article. That doesn't mean that the robot excelled in every time of thinking and task, it just means that it has become enough to behave like a normal human being with no emotions, who is totally practical. But it can still be defeated by those who are familiar with robot mechanisms and intelligence.

CONCLUSION

So This calls the end of this Article. Hope you find it Helpful and Informative.

Bye~~
